Wife and mother, Elaine Back Rast, 64 of Mineral, passed away at her home Friday, January 11, 2008 after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
She is survived by her loving family including husband of 44 years, Jimmy; son, Stephen Rast and his wife Wanda of South Riding, VA.; daughter, Stephanie Irish and her husband David of Urbana, MD.
Five Grandchildren: Stephen II, Alexandra, Samantha, Cassidy and Catelynn; two brothers: Melvin Back & Wayne Back of Rochelle, Va.
She was a member of Louisa Baptist Church, and the Alpha & Omega Sunday School Class. She also participated in Relay for Life. She had worked for Social Security Administration.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, January 14th , at Louisa Baptist Church with Dr. David Cole officiating and burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday, January 13th at Woodward Funeral Home.
