Edna B. Laws of Mineral, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Bernie and Ethel Hicks, she was predeceased by her husband L. Dale Laws.She is survived by daughters, Barbara “Boo” Williams and husband Steve and Christine Harlow; grandsons, Don Moore and wife Donna, Jason Williams and wife Amy and Christopher Harlow; great grandchildren, Brittney Moore, Brandon and Casey Moore, Jason Taylor and Kelsey Williams; four sisters, Ruth Ferrell, Elsie Ray, Mary Shifflet and Bernice Ritnour.A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, VA with interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 14th.
Dear Boo and family, Lou and I were sorry to hear Edna`s passing.. Our prayers are with you, Chrissie and your families.
My sympathy in the loss of Mrs. Laws. She was special to so many little kids who passed through her cafeteria line at Louisa Elementary School! Boo, you have been a devoted daughter even when you had other family obligations…..may God grant you peace in accepting the loss of your mother!
Alvin and I were so sorry to hear about Edna. We enjoyed her so much at the Christmas parties. She will be missed .
