Earley Wayne Shifflett, 51, of Louisa, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at, UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville. Wayne was born February 8, 1956 in Louisa to Earley M. Shifflett and Edith May Shifflett.
Wayne owned and operated Wayne?s Heating and Cooling. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Louisa, an avid fisherman and loved a good western film.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 28 years JoAnn Shifflett, his mother, Edith May Shifflett, his son Tyler Shifflett, his daughters, Serena Fields and husband David, and Samantha Shifflett, his granddaughter Tayler May Fields, his grandson Alex Fields, his brother, Harland Earl Shifflett and wife Mary all of Louisa. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Katherine Seay of Mineral, his aunts Virginia and Eunice of West Virginia, his uncle William H. Shifflett of West Virginia, his nephews Andy and Jamie Shifflett, and his niece April Shifflett.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father Earley M. Shifflett and his father-in-law Howard R. Seay.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa. The Rev. Jerry Riggins will be conducting the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at Woodward Funeral Home.
