Dorothy R. Hix
May 8, 1925 – March 9, 2023
Dorothy R. Hix, born May 8, 1925. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frank and Gennie Reynolds of Onionville. She was also preceded in death by her husband Eddie “Fuzzy” Hix and several brothers and sisters.
Dorothy is survived by her greatest love- her family: children: Bonnie Sue Campbell ( Mickey), Faye H. Grimm, Linda Pierce ( Doswell), Danny Hix ( Mary Jane) and Ronnie Hix ( Marlene.) Also leaving to cherish her memory are ten grandchildren: Wayne Hix, Douglas Grimm, Ray Grimm, Dawn Woodrum, Kevin Walton, Michael Pierce, Mark Hix, Teri Burns, Tina Hopkins and devoted caregiver Susan Turney. 15 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 11:30am to 1pm with a service to follow at 2pm at the Church of the Incarnation, 102 Louisa Ave, Mineral Va 23117. Graveside services will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone back to the church following the graveside for a reception.

Dorothy was a life-long member of the Church of the Incarnation where she taught Sunday School, served as ECW President, served on the Vestry and was a member of the Altar Guild. Dorothy loved her church and church family dearly.
