Donald Bruce Allen, 76, of Bumpass, Virginia, formerly of, Salem, NH, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009, at McGuires Veterans Hospital, Louisa, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Raymond Winslow Allen & Helen Bremmer, one brother: Raymond Allen.
Survivors include his wife: Christine Tina Dodge Allen, his children: Scott & Wife Coleen Allen, Troy, VA; Glen Allen, Newport News, VA; Wayne & wife Nancy, Cranberry Township, PA; Donna & husband Gary Kangas, Hubbardstown, MA; Deborah Allen, Sarasota, FL; Brenda & husband Jay Hoffman, Hudson, NH; grandchildren: Dena Hoffman, Zachariah Bye, Kosmos Bye, Nicholas Allen, Wesley, Rebecca & Christina Allen, Dawn, Rachel, Heather, Jesse and Tammy Kangas, Ashley Crow, Michael Howard, Dana Radde, Christopher, April, and Matthew Sadler; several great- grandchildren; brothers: David Allen, Fair Oak, CA; James Allen & Patricia Curtin, Stoneham, MA; one sister: Patricia Allen, Hanover, PA.
Mr. Allen was retired from Hewlett- Packard, as a computer Technologist, and had a special interest in Herbology. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean War. And was a member of various Millitary Organizations: Lifetime Member of the Am- Vets, American Legion, and was the chaplain of the Louisa Chapter of the American Legion Post # 116, and served previousle as Chaplain of the Salem, NH American Legion.

A memorial service was held, Monday, March 30, 2009, at Louisa United Methodist Church, Pastor Terri Hoffman conducted the service.
Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, was in charge of the arrangements.
