
David Craig Leake, Sr.
September 7, 1941 – October 4, 2023
David Craig Leake Sr., 82, of Spotsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was the son of the late Wallace and Esther Leake. David was the longtime owner of Leake’s Lawn Service. He attended Bethel Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy A. Leake; granddaughter, Macey Leake and husband Nick Scurto; grandson, Evan Leake; and two great-grandchildren, Stella and Abel. He was preceded in death by his son, David Craig Leake, Jr.; and a brother, Lewis Leake.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Ave, Louisa, VA 23093. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery, 5542 Courthouse Rd., Spotsylvania, VA 22551.

Peggy, for over 20 years you, David, and Craig mowed our lawns and did much other work on our small farm in the White Oak area of Stafford County. We loved you all. David was a true, hardworking gentleman and was always accommodating. I was so sorry to hear of David’s passing. I think of you all frequently. We extend our sincere sympathy.

Peggy!!This can’t be true,, You will certainly be in everyone s thoughts and prayers I’m trying to get through Billy’s death but everywhere I turn he is with me Hopefully I will join him Married 66 years Try to be strong and remember all the good times and he his enjoying time with your great son Talk to him and God will answer you.
