Marie was such a generous person. She may not have been wealthy, but if she had it, she would share it. If you were at her house she would try to feed you. She wasn`t trying to be nice, it`s just the way she was. After Ralph and I divorced, she continued to call me every now and then, up until a few months ago. Not one Christmas went by that she didn`t send me a present. No matter how bad she felt, she always asked how I was doing, how my son Garrett her grandson was doing, and how my dad was doing. She knew my dad had cancer she sincerely wanted to know how he was holding up, and for us to know she was thinking of us. My dad passed away in May and Marie wasn`t feeling her best, but she insisted that Ralph bring her up to the funeral. I know it was a long hard day for her. We live over 2 hours away from Louisa. Nothing was keeping her from paying her respects to my dad, and I am greatful to her for that. She sure will be missed.
Mom,The women who carried me into this world,The one who taught me to walk,to get back up and try again when i fell,The one who smiled with me in good times and cried with me in the bad.Who taught me to care for all creatures great and small,But Family above ALL.I dont think theres words for the way we feel,Except maybe that our hearts have shrunk, for she filled them with Love everyday of her life,And our souls have dimmed,For she made them Shine everyday of ours. The world will be a darker place without her.Always her baby boy,Ralph
