Coy Lee Carter, 57, of Louisa, VA; Passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. He had been a resident of Louisa for 30 years and was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and was Security Manager for Shenandoah Resort Community. He is predeceased by his mother and step-father; Gus and Maudella Mefford, and son; David Preston Carter.
Survivors include his wife; Anna Gail Carter, brothers; James Hubbard of Appalachia, VA, Allan and Margie Carter of Norton, VA, Doyle and Elizabeth Carter of Banner Mountain, VA, Doyle and Ruth Mefford of Wise, VA, Carroll Medford of Norton, VA, and Lester and Monette Mefford of Wise, VA; sisters; Christine Hawkins, and Priscilla and William Ernest, of Coburn, VA; special grandsons; Zachary Cole Carter and Joseph Logan Collins.
A Memorial service will be held 5 pm Wednesday, November 16th at Forest Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Kinchloe officiating; family will receive one hour prior to service.
