
Clyde Hampton

Clyde Lindberg Hampton, 76, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at his home in Beaverdam.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Helen Perry Hampton, five children, Bobby, Bill and Bruce Perry of Beaverdam, two daughters, Teresa Coleman of Beaverdam and Jewell Fuchs of New York, five grandchildren, Greg, Tracy, Tammy, Justin and Trey, a brother, Charles Hampton of Edgewater, Florida, two sisters, Mabel Hampton and Virginia Hampton of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Onie Hampton.
Mr. Hampton was retired from Stone and Webster Engineering Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served his country in the infantry during the Korean War. He was a member of Mineral V.F.W. and a lifetime member of the Bricklayers Union #1.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa, Virginia, 23093. A Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at Hillcrest Cemetery, with Pastor Dallas Hauenstein officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Glenora Baptist Church, 1389 Zachary Taylor Highway, Mineral, Virginia 23117.
