Chase Michael Luck

February 21, 2006 – February 24, 2023

Chase Michael Luck, 17, of Louisa County, Virginia left us way too soon on February 24, 2023. Chase, proud student athlete class of 2024, attended Louisa County High School. Chase was a resilient son, a loving big brother, a heart-melting grandchild, a fun-loving nephew, and a best friend. Chase enjoyed video gaming, but playing baseball was life! At 11 years old, he was a member of the Louisa Little League All Star team that won the State Championship in 2017. He played for years with Louisa County Public Schools earning a reputation as a ball player each team could count on. From his outgoing nature and sense of humor, to his repetitive failure to arrive on time, Chase is celebrated in remembrance with laughter and tears.
Chase is survived by his parents, Stephanie and Jason Amick and Joshua and Lauren Luck, brothers Hunter and Mason Luck, Easton Amick; maternal grandparents Thomas and Deborah Murphy, paternal grandmother Betty Luck, step-maternal grandparents Chris and Sherri Hollins, step-paternal grandparents Jeff and Kim Amick; great grandmother Dorothy Lloyd and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Bill Luck. For those of us on the team who are still playing for eternal victory, the years of possibilities Chase had ahead are like stolen bases on the diamond. But for Chase, he has scored the winning run sliding into home on his own field of dreams.
Visitation will be held at New Life Community Church, 509 E Main St, Louisa, VA 23093, on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm. A celebration of life will be held at New Life Community Church on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1 pm, followed by graveside service at Spring Grove Memorial Park Cemetery, 2779 Pendleton Road, Mineral, VA 23117. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Louisa County High School Athletics Department.
