Charlotte Loretta Hanna, 86, of Noble Senior Living Louisa, Va passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021.
Born on December 13, 1934 in Spice, West Virginia, daughter of the late Delbert and Edna Ethel (Gladwell) Kershner.
Charlotte was a long-time cashier and assistant manager for Grand Union and then Safeway in Alexandria, Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her husband Maynard Edmond Hanna; and daughter Vickie Lee Hanna.
She is survived by four daughters, Kitty Sue Hunt of Frankford, West Virginia, Teresa F. Kilmer (Ricky) of Culpeper, Virginia, Lisa Kay Hanna of Renick, West Virginia and Diana Lynn Winstead (Mark) of Gulf Breeze, Florida.
Eight grandchildren, Patrick Hunt, William Hefner, Michelle Jackson, Eric Kilmer, Bradford Jackson, Tabitha Belcastro, Amy Jackson and Angel Sherrill; nineteen great-grandchildren and three great -great grandchildren.
The family would like to recognize the extended family of Noble Senior Living formerly English Meadows for all their love and care over the last almost three years.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice Care in Charlottesville, Virginia and the Alzheimer’s Association
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021 at Woodward Funeral Home with Chaplin Lori Beach officiating.
We will be following the CDC COVID-19 recommendations and the state of Virginia mandates on face covering, social distancing and occupancy.
