Charles B. Duvall, 66, of Mineral died Monday April 18, 2011 at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Louisa.
He was retired from the Army and had been a Supervisor for Overnight Transportation for the past 30 years. Charles was a lifelong member of Gilboa Christian Church.
Charles is survived by his wife Charlotte and their son, Joseph Duvall of Mineral, their daughters Tina Duvall of Mineral, and Kelly McClary her husband Rodney of Gordonsville, four grandchildren, Hope McClary, Tyler Smith, Jared McClary, and Reese Merritt, and one great-grandchild, Haley Davis, extended special family members, Christina, Cory, Cassie, and Courtney. He also leaves behind his brothers, Cecil Sprouse and his wife Fan of Caroline County, and Jackie Duvall and his wife Patty of Mechanicsville, and one very good friend Walter Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Duvall and Francis Sprouse Duvall.
The family will receive friends at Woodward Funeral Home on Wednesday April 20, 2011 from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 21, at 11:00am with Dr. John Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Louisa.
Charlotte, Tina & Family, We are so very sorry to hear about Charles.He was such a good man.Our heart goes out to each & every one of You at this very sad time.Tina I know what it is like to lose MY Dad.It is something that changes you forever & things are never the same again.I know the Lord will wrap his loving arms around each of You in a very Special way & only He get get you through this very difficult time.Our thoughts & prayers are with you all.If you need anything we are only a phone call away.
Aunt Charlotte and family my heart goes out to all of u uncle charles will surely be missed. We all have our fondest memories of him and i know u will know mine of him…. The jumper cables he gave u for your birthday need i say more.. i will Never forget that and all the smiles he brought to the girls faces when we were up there in Jan. they still talk about that. We love yall and if u need anythig u know all u gotta do is call and i will figure out how to get it to u.We love you and you will be in our thoughts and prayers.Rest In Peace Uncle Charles Go Rest hign on that mountain with Nannie Britches
