Carol Sue Walker, 61, of Mineral, departed this life on October 7, 2022 at home after a battle with cervical cancer.
Carol, also known as Booboo to many, was born on February 18, 1961 to Betty and Lewis in Charlottesville, VA. Carol was a lifelong resident of Louisa County and studied at Louisa County schools.
In 1990, Carol started working at Tetra Pak Tubex in Louisa and worked there until her leave of absence in June 2021. She was an extremely hard worker and loved to work. She met numerous friends during her time there.
When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, or playing bingo.
In 1986, she met her soulmate and love of her life, David “Lee” Walker. Together they shared three children, 15 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and two sisters, Brenda Talley of Louisa and Robin Beverley of Gordonsville.
She is survived by her parents, Betty and Melvin Nottingham and Lewis Dunivan, all residents of Louisa County. Her husband, David “Lee” Walker. Three children, Melissa Zummo, JP Franck, Amanda Disse all residents of Louisa County. Two son-in-laws, Tristan Zummo and Chris Talley. One daughter-in-law, Chasity Franck. 15 grandchildren, Victoria, Arielle, Juliane, Isabella, Gabriel, Kayden, James, Andrew, Jayden, Rylee, Analise, Emalyn, Belle, Christopher, and Landen. One great granddaughter, Paisley.
She is also survived by sisters, Nancy, Teresa, Patricia, Libby, and Kitty. A brother, Marvin. As well as a host of other brothers and sisters. A special cousin, Debbie “Dinka” Poreau. Along with many other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
Services will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont for taking such amazing care of Carol.
