Prayers for peace and comfort for the family at this time.
I am very saddened to hear of Bessie passing. I felt I needed to write something about a tremendous woman. I was born in Louisa, and my family moved out of town when I was 7 years old. My dad, Welford Perkins, and I would come back on a regular basis during hunting season. Bessie’s house was always open to any of us. She was a mother to so many people. Anytime daddy and I would come down, we would walk in the house and Bessie would always welcome us with open arms. After my dad passed, when we went to Louisa, I or my mother and I would stop by and see Bessie, again, welcomed us anytime. What a great woman. Ray, Robbie, and Greg, I hate to hear about your mother. Prayers to ya’ll. I know her, Pete, and daddy are in heaven talking about old times. Prayers to the family.
