Benjamin Louisa

Benjamin Lee Louisa, 56, of Louisa passed away Wednesday July 27, 2011 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville. He was born January 19, 1955 in Louisa to the late Lula Phedyma Robertson Louisa and Albert Lee Louisa. Benny was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was employed at Orange-Madison Co-op in Louisa. In addition to his parents, Benjamin was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Stephens.

He is survived by his son, Eric Lee Louisa and grandson Conor Lee Louisa of Mineral, his sister Susan Fletcher Duane Ryder of Louisa, his brother-in-law David Stephens, nieces Angela Gibson, Tracy Willis, Rebecca Rose, and Catherine Pocius; nephews Charles, Ashley, and John Fletcher. In addition he also leaves behind his aunts and uncles Johnson and Margie Robertson, Ted and Arleen Ray, all of Louisa, Martha Smith of Cobham, and many cousins, great nieces, nephews, and good friends of many years Carole and George Kail and Kathy and Mike Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Louisa with Pastor Vivian Utz officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
