Barbara Rose Emberton

Barbara Emberton went to be with the lord peacefully at home on July 15, 2014; surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of Mine Road Baptist Church and teacher of the Women’s Sunday school for many years. She volunteered her services to Goshen Baptist Association and Rural Love.Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Nellie Lumpkin and Albert Kober, one brother, John Kober, Sr.; one grandson, William Hawley; and a daughter-in-law Rose Hawley.Barbara is survived by her husband, Willie Emberton; two sons, Walter Hawley (Jerry) and Kenny Hawley; one step-daughter, Amy Emberton; two step-sons, Willie Emberton, Jr. and Jeremy Emberton; twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, Robert V. Kober and numerous nieces and nephews.A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th at Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral, VA; followed by 11:00 A.M. Memorial Service at Mine Road Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, VA; officiated by Rev. James Eure. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Goshen Baptist Association, 587 Mica Road, Mineral, VA 23117.Special Thanks to Hospice, Goshen Association and numerous family and friends.

Barbara always made everyone feel at home and loved whenever we were together. And she sure loved Jesus. Our hearts will miss her, our church will miss her, but soon, and very soon, we`ll be reunited with her in heaven. And what a great day that will be. Willie and family, we love you and we`re praying for you. Jesus is always good and He sure loved Barbara.
