Ashley Nicole Greene, 26, of Louisa, VA, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 10, 2009.
Ashley is survived by her parents, Gary W. Greene and Deborah S. Greene of Louisa, VA, her paternal grandmother Hazel Cornette Greene, her maternal grandmother, Frances B. Hall, her sister, Amber D. Greene of Louisa, VA, her half-sisters, Beverly Alexander of Ivor, VA, Belinda A. Greene and Beth A. Greene both of Powhattan, VA, her nephews, Shane Alexander of Florida, and Samuel of Newport News, VA, her niece, Olivia S. Greene of Powhattan, VA and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ralph Greene and her maternal grandfather, John M. Hall.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa, VA 23093. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ashley’s memory to the: International Rett Syndrome Foundation, 4600 Devitt Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246.
Gary and Family, We were so sorry to hear about Ashley`s passing and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember over the years we ran into each other a few times as we both had children who were in the hospital at the same times. Take care and God bless.

To the Greene family I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Amber, if you need anything please dont hesitate to ask. Ashley was a beautiful young lady and indeed brought sunshine on all that knew her. Words cant express how I feel but please note that my prayers my sympathy my love is being sent to you.
She was a precious child and we will all miss her. I remember her beautiful blonde curls when she was around 16 mos. old, and that`s how I will hold her memory in my heart and mind, until I see her in heaven. Love Mamaw Greene

The circle of life is hard on those of us left behind to grieve, but for me it`s as if she were a little bird with a broken wing that suddenly takes flight. Soar high little one, heaven is waiting. Gary and Debbie our love can`t possibly fill the hole that`s left in your hearts, but we do care so much for you and we`ll always be there if you need us.
