Alma Jean Winston Badgett, 85 of Louisa died November 13, 2016. She was a member of the Louisa Christadelphian Chapel Ecclesia. She was the daughter of James Percy and Lois Mae Parrish Winston. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Alonza Gray “Brother” Badgett, Jr. her sister, Virginia Ann Winston Badgett and her brother, James Ray Winston.
She is survived by four children; her daughter, Nancy Burket and husband David, her sons, Charles Badgett and wife Sue, Daniel Badgett, and Dale Badgett and wife Kaci; six grandchildren, Kimberly Chamblin and husband Edwin, Amanda Craig and husband Justin, Andrew Badgett, Jason Badgett, Sara Badgett and Blake Badgett; four great-grandchildren; Autumn Craig, Jackson Craig, Mason Chamblin and Liam Chamblin; three step-grandchildren, Kristi Castro and husband Hernon, Kenneth Burket, and David Burket; nine step-great grandchildren; Dakota Burket, Makayla Castro, Noah Castro, Alex Castro, Jaykob Castro, Claudia Castro, Hayleigh Burket, Chloe Burket and Dylan Burket, one step-great-great grandchild; Adeline Castro; her brother, Stuart Winston and wife Helen, Kenneth Winston and wife Anne and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 1pm on Saturday, November 19th at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, VA; followed by graveside service at 2pm Hillcrest Cemetery officiated by Brother Robert Harris.
