Alice Jane Boyd, 81 of Louisa passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at her residence.She is predeceased by her parents, James Sydnor and Louise Lloyd Pleasants and a sister, Lois Pleasants Shumake. She was a member of Louisa Christian Church, The CWF and Louisa KS Club and had worked for Peoples National Bank and bookkeeper for Barton & Boyd.She is survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Boyd, Jr., Nieces, Kimberly Shumake and Susan Colvin, nephews, Wayne Boyd and Neal Boyd and brother-in-law, Arthur W. Boyd.A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Louisa Christian Church, officiated by Rev. Denny Burnette. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, VA. Family will receive friends 6-8pm on Wednesday, April 2nd at the Church.In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Louisa Christian Church, Alzheimer’s Association, Legacy Hospice or the American Heart Association.
