Albert Amos Redd, 81, of King George County passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Redd was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Charlotte Cooper in 2004.Survivors include his wife, Ina Alice Redd; daughter Lilly A. Whitney (Jim) of LaPlata, MD; granddaughters Alice and Julie Whitney; stepchildren Ralph S.”Dickie” Kidd (Theresa) of King George, Charles H. Kidd (Lynne) of Indian Head, MD, Jackie Post (Chris) of Mechanicsville, MD, and Amber Mathis of Ocala, Fla.; brother Herman Redd of Smith Mountain Lake; sisters Velora Moore of Halifax, Betty Miller (David) of South Boston, Frances Hawker of Danville and Bonnie Snow (Roger) of Halifax; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Woodward Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Amos. Ina you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. He fought a hard fight and now know that he is in a beautiful place and pain free with the Lord above.
