Ada Sharpe Wilson, 78, of Mineral, VA died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Louisa Health Care Center. Born February 22, 1932 in Louisa County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Walter and Ella Mae Walton Sharpe; and the recent widow of Eugene K. Wilson.
Ada and Eugene were happily married for 54 years. Ada was a loving wife and mother, a homemaker, a committed supporter of her husband’s home building business, Wilson Brothers Contracting, a lifetime member of Mineral Baptist Church, and an encourager and supporter of her large family of brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Wilson Kube and husband Edward of Mineral; Jeanette Wilson Wade of Chesterfield; and a son Douglas Mays Wilson and wife Kammie of Goochland; five grandchildren, Janelle Kube of Henrico, Trey Kube of Mineral, Danielle and Elizabeth Wade of Chesterfield and Brandi Wilson of Goochland; one brother, Billy Sharpe and six sisters; Rosa Mae Anthony, Doris Pierce, Barbara Heffner, Betty Brooks, Helen Sprouse and Juanita Sharpe.
Pallbearers include Billy Sharpe, Ernest Sprouse, Trey Kube, William Pierce, Jeff Sprouse and Jason Sharpe. Granddaughters Janelle Kube, Brandi Wilson, Danielle Wade and Elizabeth Wade will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A funeral service officiated by Dr. Michael Durham will be held at Mineral Baptist Church on Sunday, April 10th at 3 p.m. with interment immediately afterwards in the church cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
