On Friday, March 27, 2015, A.C. Gill, Jr. (Gilly), of Mineral, VA, formerly of Arlington, VA, passed away at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.Gilly was predeceased by his parents, Nettie and A.C. Gill Sr., and his stepson, Allen Husband.He was the loving husband of Anita Gill; father of Christine Mullenax (Hedgesville, WV) and Vickie T. Johnson (California); and stepfather of Donna Husband (Annandale, VA) and Coleen McMains (Winchester, VA). He is also survived by six grandsons, Jeremy, Justice, Jaggard, Eric, Charlie, and Trevor; two brothers, Jimmy and Johnny and their wives Mary and Brenda; and two sisters, Jackie and Joyce.Gilly enjoyed riding on his bike, “Pearl,” and always had a smile for everyone. One of his favorite sayings was, “I’ll see you the first—the first chance I get to see you again.” He was a resident of Mineral for over 30 years and a member of these organizations; The American Legion, The American Legion Riders, Post #116, Louisa, VA; Lake Anna Motorcycle Riding Club; Southern Cruisers Riding Club, Rappahannock, VA; and the Louisa Moose Lodge #2065.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Church of the Incarnation, Mineral, VA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (Mineral Chapter) and the Church of the Incarnation.
Gilly`s firm hand shake will surely be missed. Sorry for your loss.
Gilly, thank you for being such a loving and kind stepfather to me, my brothers and sister. I cannot imagine life without you in it but I am so thankful to have been blessed to have had you in my life for 40 years. I love you, Pa! See you on the first!

I am so sorry , am very glad to have seen you and some of his family back in 2011. IT was great, even though I got Vicky and me lost….I am glad you guys had a FABULOUS time, he will be missed
